Book Description

 May 19, 2014
After being laid off at my latest company that fell victim to insider fraud, and the job market at its lowest point in years, I decided to follow the advice of my self-made millionaire friend and become 'The Professional Freelancer'. Spiraling out of control, I found myself involved in several extremely dangerous situations that strangely all seem to be connected involving the mafia, a Korean street gang, a white-collar crime, and masterminding the annual euchre championships at a senior citizens retirement home.

The Professional Freelancer is a humorous ebook that was not written in a traditional format. It was written from the protagonist’s point-of-view. He is talking directly to you; the reader.

Q. What inspires your writing?

A. I had an idea about someone down on his luck bouncing from job to job and I decided to start writing short stories about it as it is a topic 99% of the world can relate to.  Then I chose to connect them with an overlying theme.

Q. What is your favorite thing about being an writer?

A.I only write in my leisure time...but I guess what is best is that you are limitless...if I want to write a 17 page story about a talking pie that travels back in time for some reason, then I`ll write it.

Q. What is the toughest part of being an writer?

A.I can`t type as fast as the ideas that are spinning in my head.

Q. If you could not be writer, what would you do/be?

A. Technically I`m not a writer as I have a full-time job at a company and only write during my leisure time so I`m going to say lion-tamer.

Q. What would the story of your life be entitled?

A. the title would be:  The life and times of a bald man living in a hairy world.

Q. What is your favorite book of all time?

A. To be serious for a moment, I don`t have a favorite book but one that I recommend to anyone about pursuing their passions would be Robert Rodriguez`s Rebel Without a Crew.  It`s about film director Rodriguez`s struggle to raise funds for his first feature length film when he was 22 years old, how he filmed it, and how it was received by audiences at various film festivals.

Q. Which character from ANY book are you most like?

A.The scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz.

Q. What character from all of your book are you most like?

A.  Several of the characters in The Professional Freelancer have a little of my personality or shared some of my past experiences...but I want to stress that the book is fiction.  I was not captured by the mafia, nor did I play poker in an underground game run by a Korean gang, nor did I get involved in a white-collar crime, nor did I influence any senior citizen`s card playing tournaments.  It`s amazing how many people think that I am the protagonist.
Q. Which book would you love to take a weekend vacation inside of?

A.Treasure Island.

Q. What is your favorite season?

A. Summer - I live in Canada so I`m sick of snow & slush.

Q. What inspired your book cover(s)? Or what is your favorite book cover and why?

A. Places you will go by Dr. Seuss

Q. Tell me something funny that happened while on a book tour or while promoting your book.

A. book tour? I'm supposed to have a book tour? Someone fire my agent...mom, you`re fired

Q. Are you working on something new?

A. I might start a sequel to The Professional Freelancer...the ink is still wet on this one.

Q. Anything you want to say to followers of this blog or those that are just stopping by?

A. I would be happy to give a free copy of The Professional Freelancer to anyone in exchange for an honest review.
