At first glance, twenty-one-year-old Jan Weston has it all: a gorgeous boyfriend, fun friends, and wealthy parents who take care of all those pesky credit card bills.
Then her boyfriend dumps her, her friendships fall apart, and her parents cut her off. Suddenly without money, without a man, and without a plan, it’s time for Jan to grow up.
Determined to get her life back on track, Jan decides it’s time to make it on her own. Can she find her way as a single lady in San Diego? Can she fix her friendships, her job prospects, and her hair? And can she keep her vow that she’ll never date again, even after she meets a guy who just might be perfect for her?
BETWEEN BOYFRIENDS is a sexy, hilarious story of living life, finding love, and growing up... but not necessarily in that order.

Q. If you could not be author, what
would you do/be?
A. Honestly, an editor probably. I love helping authors improve their work and I feel a tiny thrill whenever I find a typo.

Q. Which character from ANY book are
you most like?
A. I honestly don't know. Every time I think of a character, some huge way in which we are different pops into my head. I'm really not a "normal" person.

Q. What character from all of your
book are you most like?
A. Of the one book, so far, I'm not really like any of my characters. Who I was 10 years ago is similar to Jan and Lisa with a touch of Shauna.

Q. Which book would you love to take
a weekend vacation inside of?
A. Great question. Maybe "The Amber Spyglass" because I would love to meet my daemon and see its final form. That or perhaps The Waterdance because that whole Costa Rican vacation resort with the hot guy giving the Watsu massages just sounds like heaven.

Q. What is your favorite season?
A. Summer, hands down. I'd love year-round summer.

Q. What inspired your book cover(s)?
Or what is your favorite book cover and why?
A. My book has now had two covers, so I can talk about those. The first one I adore. I've always loved the color combo of pink and black, and the mystery of the silhouette men on both sides of the blonde was alluring. We recently decided to get a new cover that better represented the edgy, adult (versus young adult) quality to the book. The new cover takes my breath away.

Q. Tell me something funny that
happened while on a book tour or while promoting your book.
A. I think the stumped look on my face right now trying to think of an answer is pretty funny. I wish you could see it.

Q. Are you working on something new?
A. Fervently! I'm writing the sequel to "Between Boyfriends," in which Jan goes to Thailand to learn Thai massage and study abroad. I love writing about this because I visited Thailand twice, and I've learned Thai massage myself, and writing this sequel brings up so many happy memories. It's also a lot of fun because of the new situations Jan gets herself into and the culture shock.
