#MMBBR Children's Books Round-Up @DisneyHyperion @karinlefranc @CorineD2

Bruce the bear likes to keep to himself. That, and eat eggs. But when his hard-boiled goose eggs turn out to be real, live goslings, he starts to lose his appetite. And even worse, the goslings are convinced he's their mother. Bruce tries to get the geese to go south, but he can't seem to rid himself of his new companions. What's a bear to do?

MY THOUGHTS:
I am in love with this book!  It is both heart warming and adorable, silly and goofy, serious and sweet!  It has everything that both adults and kids will love!! I found that Mother Bruce was such an original and wonderful story about unlikely love between a grumpy and hungry bear and some adoring sweet goslings!  I cannot wait to share this book in all my classes and tell everyone I know about this FANTASTIC book!  It is perfect for Thanksgiving!  It may become our newest tradition to read this book on Thanksgiving and discuss the crazy thing called LOVE!! P.S. the illustrations are so beautiful and detailed.  They take the reader into the the story and capture the emotions of the characters so perfectly! So cute!  I cannot take all that cuteness!
5 HUGE stars!!!!

He's limping strangely down the hall with outstretched arms and a groaning drawl. A zombie! Could it really be? You race to class, but turn to see he's sitting in the desk right next to you!

But odds are you'll probably be okay, because this is no ordinary zombie. This zombie doesn't want to eat your brains--he wants to eat your books! And he's not a picky eater with a taste for all genres from mystery to history! But when the zombie catches a whiff of the school library, the children need to come up with a plan fast before all their books become history!

This monster book is silly and fun, with a strong message about kindness and friendship. The little zombie teaches kids not to jump to conclusions and to give everyone a chance. This is the perfect monster book for little ones who want a thrill but aren't looking for anything too scaryI Want to Eat Your Books is a monstrously fun story not only for Halloween but all year round!

MY THOUGHTS:
My kids and I were laughing so hard when we read this book!  What kid, especially boys, don't love a funny book with zombies in it...Zombies that eat books none the less!  It is so fun to read because of the cadence of the story...with the rhyming text and sing song way to reads!  In addition to that the pictures are hilarious and the Zombie is adorable!  Adorable I say!!! The Zombie is also so endearing...after he discovers that books contain facts all he wants to do is be read to!  Instead of filling his belly with books he fills his mind with the knowledge contained inside the books!  What a great lesson for kids!  With a silly and engaging story with colorful and vibrant pictures leads to a 5 star read!  Brilliant book!

Snuggle in, Lovey, listen to all the joys I wish for you ... In this rhyming bedtime story, a loving mother lulls her child to sleep with happy thoughts, joyful wishes, and pleasing reveries. Ages 3-5. This children's picture book has 28 pages, with whimsical watercolor illustrations.

MY THOUGHTS:
A very sweet and special bedtime storybook.  It captures all the best things in life and lets your child think happy thoughts at the end of the day! The pictures are quite beautiful.  This could be another great addition to your bedtime routine! 4.0 stars

Great book for families in this digital age.

"Click." "Tap." Tag and post. An adored baby tells a modern tale about life in today's digital world. #BabyLove: My Social Life highlights the social phenomena of sharing daily activities using technology and social networks.

MY THOUGHTS:
Definitely original #BabyLove is a look into the digital world from a baby's point of view.  It is an eye opening story about living your days looking through a device into he world and not embracing the moments as they happen!  Truthfully it made me want to put my phone away!  3.5 stars

Little Green Frog sees other animals, with their special skills, and hops after them asking "Isn't it possible?" he can be a goose, horse or koi. On his quest for a way to be special, he learns that ALMOST anything is possible.

Little Green introduces young readers to animal groups, traits and skills while he learns an important lesson.

MY THOUGHTS:
Little Green is about determination, about having pride in oneself and about seeing the brighter side of life!  It is an inspiring tale about a frog that would stop at nothing because "anything is possible"! 4 stars

The Adventures of Zealy and Whubba “A New Life Begins” Book 1 Series 1 A very special welcome to a beautiful, baby girl…bright-eyed, little seal pup, that is! When adorable, little Zealy is born, Whubba couldn’t be more excited! The latest in his line of powerful orcas, he’s the protector around here―and now, he’s also going to keep Zealy safe in her new marine environment, and doing so with tender, loving care! With its bright and cheery illustrations, The Adventures of Zealy and Whubba, “a New Life Begins”, the first in a series, is appropriate for infants through age five. As Zealy grows up under Whubba’s watchful gaze, the two adventurous babies teach readers that growing with love, caring and sharing are the most important parts of family life, as they melt your heart with their precious innocence. Roe De Pinto is a graduate of a three-year program in children’s literature from the Institute of Children’s Literature. Though she started working on the Zealy and Whubba series as a legacy for her children and grandchildren, sharing the characters’ infectious smiles with children all around the world is her ultimate goal! Experience the fun and educate your children through their little escapades!

MY THOUGHTS:
This is a beautifully illustrated very sweet beginning reader book about the beauty of friendship and the wonders of life!  3.5 stars
