#FirstLine - Alyssa swirled the icy olives on her martini, thinking about division.

Hot damn! Wow! Talk about a story. This was intense. A masterfully told story of psychological manipulation - I never knew what to believe or who to trust! It had twists. It had turns. I was holding my breath at times because it was so tense! I was unsettled and nervous…uneasy the whole way. It has everything - I mean everything readers want and more. Plus, to top it off this story had a very satisfying ending! A must read!!!!

#FirstLine ~ Prologue : The locals called the river in Autumn, the eye of God.

WOW. This book was an emotional read. I was honored to read it because I feel like it gave voice to those women, to what happened to them and was told in a raw and real way. Compassion mixed with McDaniel's brilliant writing, exceptional character building and pacing lent itself to an engrossing, eye-opening and unforgettable story. What an amazing retelling of true crime. A must read!

This book may be small in length but not in impact! This is an action packed, quickly paced s   tory that will keep you engaged and guessing until the very end. I was completely engrossed. The ending felt a bit abrupt and utterly shocking, but I think upon reflection that was the point. Were they really doomed from the start? Read to find out!!!

I wish I was still teaching kids at the Y. This book is sheer perfection to get kids moving and engaged in reading at the same time. It is such a fun story. I can imagine all the activities I could have done with this book; both artistically and physically. This book is illustrated beautifully - colorful, bright and whimsical! Perfect for parents wanting to jazz up these cold winter days and perfect for teachers wanting to engage children mentally and physically! A 5 star children’s book!

#FirstLine ~ PROLOGUE - Felicity had walked by the brownstone on Waverly Place dozens of times without noticing it.

I loved this book! It was so original, clever, witty and unforgettable. I laughed, felt deeply for the characters and the story. It is one of those stories I wish I could read for the first time over and over again, so I can experience the story again and again. It was so perfectly plotted, with depth and tenderness. There was drama too, which helped create a beautifully balanced story! This book is not to be missed! A homerun!

Ok, wow! This audiobook was fantastic. I loved the setting. I loved how this story slowly cracked open. It was paced so nicely. I loved the narrator. It was so perfectly told. I love when I am listening to a story and everything else fades away! That is precisely what happened with this story! I found that some stories stay with you after you finish and this is one of those stories! A must read/listen!!
